Research and development, design and experimental, design developments are being held at IL PJSC, which may subject to protection as a patent-low subjects: inventions, useful models, design invention, trademarks, computer programs, databases.

From 1960 onwards legal protection of engineering developments was provided by the company’s patent experts with:

• 1017 inventor’s certificates of the Union of Soviet Socialists Republic,
• 105 Russian Federation patents for inventions, design inventions and useful models,
• 31 certificates of trademarks, computer programs, databases.

Honorary degrees “Honored author of invention of the RSFSR” were awarded for the service in inventive work by Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR to the principal design engineers of IL PJSC experimental design bureau:

As of 2013 IL PJSC is a patentee of over 50 results of intellectual activity in force.

A number of design solutions have found their applications in other aviation companies.

Patent protection of aviation technologies is being successfully continued by joint creative effort of company’s experts with the professional experience of design engineers.

For identification of aviation products, manufactured at the enterprise and for the legal protection of the copyright IL PJSC has registered a trade mark, which represents a circle with a wing inside, under which there are IL letters.

                       

For identification of the enterprise the following commercial sign is applied:

The commercial sign includes the image of the company’s trade mark and a word element consisting of “ILYUSHIN” word and a word combination “group companies OAC”.
